I studied human sciences in high school and then I joined the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Turin.
I have a bachelor's degree with honours in Modern History. The subject of my bachelor's thesis was François de Sales and his mission in Savoy. I have study also the Company of Jesus, the religious conversion in early modern history and the ties between political power and religion.
After the Bachelor's degree I continued my studies in Historical Sciences at the University of Turin. At the end of my master's degree exams, I worked for a few months as a trainee at the Centre d'études supérieures de la Renaissance in Tours. In 2017 I graduated with honours in History of Christianity and the Churches, thanks to a thesis on the relationship between the cult of saints, political power and the Alpine communities in the diocese of Ivrea.
My studies on the cult of the saints continue with my participation in the study committee for the "Millenium of San Bernard d'Aosta", a project for the valorization of the alpine sacredness and mountain hospitality of which Bernard d'Aosta was the founder.edit

Francis de Sales was one of the most renowned exponent of the French Counter-Reformation. His works are considered chief works of the new devotional feeling which had been developing in Europe during the XVII century. The beginning of his clerical career had marked by the mission among the Savoyard heretics. His engagement in the conversion of the Calvinist people lasted four years, between 1594 and 1598, and concerned the region of Chablais. This research aims to analyze the many features of his mission. The first part starts considering Francis' education and his affinity to some theories and practices of the Society of Jesus, which he learnt during his education at the College of Paris. The aim of the second part is exploring the different levels of the mission in Chablais: from his approach to the élites and the most literate classes to the preaching meant for the lower classes till the conversion of Savoyard Calvinists, as the result of matching baroque piety and popular rites, sometimes dangerously close to heterodoxy.
